REMEMBRANCE

THE ACT OF REMEMBRANCE
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
We will remember them.

Every year on November 11, millions gather to collectively stand in honour of all who have fallen in the service of their country.

Ensuring the continuation of the tradition of Honouring and Remembering our military heritage is important to The Legion; its success continues through a number of programs, services and resources for everyone across Canada.

Each year the Legion conducts the Poppy Campaign to honour those who serve, and to raise funds in support of Veterans and their families.  From the last Friday in October to Remembrance Day, all Canadians can be part of the campaign.

Wear a poppy, attend a Remembrance Day Ceremony, and show your recognition for those who gave their lives for our freedom.

On Nov 11 of each year our Branch, in collaboration with The City of Spruce Grove, coordinates and hosts the Remembrance Day Ceremony.
